These shoes were part of a series of photos called "Essentials to take to Burning Man." I photographed baggies, wet naps, water, tasty bites, goggles, condoms, a good knife, duct tape and um, shoes. You need lots and lots of shoes.

I loved these ones .. the grey ones... They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They got pretty trashed and so I photographed them before they died. I'm one of those people who wears shoes out until they fall off my feet. I do not like shoe shopping, but I have over 20 pairs of shoes, at least. The shoes are usually purchased all at once is what I am trying to say. I know I am not alone.

The heels below were pretty spectacular and I trashed those too. Just could not really clean those up with a little shoe polish.

I needed those black heels for my stewardess outfit(s) that I rotated. They were very easy to walk in. Little ticky ticky heels don't really work on the playa.
